With the support of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) organized Hangzhou Asian Games Fun Run (Fun Run), a 1-km running event, on 2023 Olympic Day. The event aimed at encouraging the public to take part in physical activities and support the forthcoming Hangzhou Asian Games. Participants received a commemorative medal, along with an e-certificate issued by OCA.

In addition to the Fun Run event, a Sports Carnival was held on the same day. Hangzhou Asian Games Corner was also set up in the Sports Carnival, which was opened to all free of charge, to promote the Asian Games and call on the public to support Hong Kong athletes taking part in the Games.
